Page Mechanical Group, Inc. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up and maintain safe work zones, direct traffic, place signage, cones and barriers, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

The role requires following TCPs, inspecting zones, reporting hazards, and coordinating with crews and emergency personnel. Outdoor work, PPE adherence, and irregular hours are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Certification as a Traffic Control Technician (TCT) or Flagger (ATSSA/NSC/state).
• Ability to stand long periods outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and signage standards.
• Good communication and situational awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and remove temporary traffic control setups (cones, signs, barricades, arrow boards).
• Direct traffic using signs, hand signals, and flagging devices.
• Ensure safe traffic flow around construction zones.
• Follow traffic control plans (TCPs) as directed by supervisors/engineers.
• Inspect work zones for safety and correct setup.
• Report incidents or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Communicate with crews and emergency personnel as needed.
• Operate traffic control devices (AFADs) where applicable.
• Perform basic maintenance of equipment.
