Job summary

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. seeks an Outside Sales Representative to grow our commercial tire business across fleets in the US. You will sell new tires, retreads, and service, while building strong customer relationships and expanding the customer base.

Responsibilities include fleet surveys, tire analysis, pricing adherence, meeting sales quotas, and reporting to management. The role blends salary and commissions, is full-time and on-site, and requires a valid driver’s license and DOT readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School
• 3–5 years of job-specific experience
• Driver’s license required
• DOT physical ability

Responsibilities

• Sell commercial, truck, and OTR sales/service, including retreads
• Perform fleet surveys, tire analysis, mileage tracking, and customer reports
• Resolve customer concerns or complaints as they arise
• Follow pricing policies for satisfactory gross margins
• Meet goals and sales quotas set by supervisor
• Maintain a clean vehicle reflecting the corporate image
• Maintain proper telephone answering techniques
• Solicit new accounts
• Report information regularly to Purcell’s sales management tool
• Protect company assets (inventory, cash, receivables, equipment, real estate)
• Embrace Purcell’s safety culture and work safely
• Regular attendance per schedule
• Ability to perform physical requirements
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned
