Wyatt Field Service Company is seeking a Field Timekeeper to support payroll and invoicing processes at its Beaumont/Port Arthur operations. The role emphasizes accurate data handling, timekeeping, and cost tracking for construction projects across Gulf Coast regions.

You will process onboarding to payroll, verify documents, reconcile time data, and generate reports. The position requires travel to job sites 100% and collaboration with supervisors and project controls for timely billing and cost

Qualifications

  • Keyboard data entry proficiency required.
  • Strong knowledge of Viewpoint and Time & Attendance Payroll systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • 1–3 years of accounting or payroll experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process onboarding data to the payroll system.
  • Verify employee documentation accuracy.
  • Process Time & Attendance data and reconcile variances.
  • Update daily jobsite manpower reports.
  • Create payroll and invoicing reports as needed.
  • Maintain auditing data for Foreman timesheets and FCO docs.
  • Cross-train team members as needed.
  • Perform accounting and payroll tasks at the home office.

Position Summary

Performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance/processing of payroll and invoicing and occasionally assist with the tracking and forecasting of costs related to individual projects. When not assigned to a specific job, performs various duties and special projects in the Timekeeping Department.

  • Must be willing to travel to jobsites for work 100 % of the time, in the Gulf Coast and Mid-West regions. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
  • Process employee data (new hires, terminations, changes, additional earnings/deductions) from onboarding system to the payroll system.
  • Verify employee documentation for accuracy.
  • Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Time system to payroll and reconcile variances utilizing tools in mJobtime, Track and payroll system.
  • Create, receive and enter Daily Foreman Reports from Foreman and Superintendent at jobsites.
  • Audit and reconcile wide range of payroll documents for up to 500 employees.
  • Cross train team members in your specific area of expertise as needed. Examples include training a clerk to assist with paperwork or training a new timekeeper.
  • Create or print a variety of payroll reports on demand.
  • Prepare weekly labor, equipment, and material timesheets for customer approval.
  • Prepare weekly invoicing or assist with job cost functions, if needed (this will vary depending on jobsite))
  • Maintain data required for proper auditing procedures for Foreman's timesheets, field Change Orders (FCO) documentation, signed customer timesheets, EQ sheets, etc.
  • Perform additional assignments per the direction of the Timekeeping Manager, Project Manager on the jobsite or Project Controls Manager.
  • Perform accounting and payroll tasks as assigned while working at the home office.

Position Qualification Requirements
Knowledge
  • Highly proficient using keyboard computer entry functions required.
  • In-depth understanding of the Viewpoint and Time and Attendance Payroll Database and advanced ability to use heir functionality.
  • Good proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting or payroll.
Experience
  • Prior work involving payroll or accounting functions in construction or business office strongly preferred.
  • Prior work experience using a computerized accounting system.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of sometimes stressful situations.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required

Valid state issued drivers license.
