Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Level II Technician to perform testing observation on field projects per applicable specifications for independent laboratories.

Responsibilities include sample preparation, collection and testing, field observations, and documenting results on soil, concrete, grout, mortar and asphalt. Night shifts and some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I certification required.
• ICC Soils Special Inspector certification preferred.
• Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Training certification required.
• Competency in One-Point Proctor testing desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions.
• Review specifications for civil and structural plans and identify applicable sections.
• Perform tests, inspections and observations with minimal supervision.
• Submit daily field reports documenting testing and field observations.
• Document and communicate non-conforming items to project supervision.
