Job summary

Building & Earth is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Level II Technician in Arkansas, with a minimum of 1 year of CMT experience and ACI Concrete Certification plus ICC Soils Special Inspector certification (or other relevant certifications). The role involves field testing, observations, and reporting on soil, concrete, grout, mortar, and asphalt.

Expect NIGHT shifts and some WEEKEND work; travel within branch area may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in CMT.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level I certification.
• ICC Soils Special Inspector certification.
• Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Training certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions.
• Review civil/structural specs and identify sections applicable to the scope of work.
• Perform tests, inspections and observations with minimal supervision.
• Submit daily field reports documenting testing and field observations.
• Document and communicate non-conforming items to project supervision.
• Clean, maintain and calibrate all assigned equipment.
• Transport, operate and care for a nuclear density gauge as assigned.
