Job summary

Intertek, a global quality and safety solutions provider, is seeking a Building Science Testing Technician to join our Building Science Solutions team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This role offers hands-on field testing, observations, and inspection of building envelope systems, with travel up to 25%.

You will operate testing equipment, review data, and collaborate with project teams to support commercial, residential, and healthcare projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• General construction, carpentry, or testing experience.
• Experience using power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand test procedures.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing, observations and inspections of construction materials.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (air and water infiltration).
• Provide data assessment through reporting.
• Work from drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks per procedures.
• Make detailed observations and provide improvement recommendations.
• Maintain documentation and data from test results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
