Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an experienced Field Testing Technician to join our Building Science Solutions team in Hillside, Illinois. You will assist with field testing projects, building inspections, and forensic investigations of building envelope failures.

Daily travel to local job sites, ability to work on elevated platforms, and strong report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years’ experience with commercial construction, exteriors, envelope systems, roofing or carpentry.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and travel to local job sites.

Responsibilities

• Field testing projects as assigned.
• Forensic investigations of building envelope failures.
• Communicate with project team on site observations and reporting.
• Prepare and submit accurate project reports.
• Provide project coordination including planning, scheduling, and execution.
