Job summary

Intertek in Plymouth, Michigan is seeking an experienced Field Testing Technician to support field testing projects and forensic investigations of building envelope failures. You will work with the Building Science Solutions team on site, performing inspections, test preparations, procedures, and reporting.

The role requires 5+ years of commercial construction experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and daily local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction or building exteriors.
• Ability to travel daily to local job sites.

Responsibilities

• Field testing projects as assigned
• Forensic investigations of building envelope failures
• Communicate site observations, test preparation, procedures, results and reporting
• Prepare and submit accurate and concise reports on all projects
• Provide project coordination including planning, scheduling, execution and reporting
• Consistent and professional interaction with clients and project team
