Job summary

ViaPath is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 (Site Admin Technician 3) to join the Field Services team. This role operates largely independently, delivering remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability services at customer sites across an assigned territory.

Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, you will replace telephony hardware, pull cables, mount devices, and support kiosk service while adhering to security guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office.
• Telephony and Networking knowledge including copper, CAT5/6, and fiber.
• Knowledge of wiring color code and data cabling fabrication.
• Must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to customer sites daily.
• Work environment includes access to government/jail environments with strict security guidelines.
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled OT and after-hours callouts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ambassador for ViaPath and demonstrate Service Excellence.
• Be responsible for service of ViaPath products at assigned customer sites and assist customers as needed.
• Prioritize and plan assigned service calls.
• Communicate updates related to service calls.
• Escalate problems when appropriate.
• Interact professionally with customers to foster positive relationships.
• Serve as point of contact for facility staff.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components and perform basic maintenance.
• Pull cable, mount network devices, and install telephony hardware.
• Administer kiosk service and collections at financial institutions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support other departments with corrective action.
• Troubleshoot wiring, repair/replace cabling, and address 66-blocks or cutoff switches.
• Handle special projects as assigned by Field Service Manager.
• Overtime and callouts expected.
