Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Services Field Technician I to support emergency response, spill cleanup, and decontamination tasks. The role involves working with tanks, pumps, and heavy equipment, often in confined spaces, while following safety policies and regulations.

After-hours responses may be required. Candidates should have basic technical literacy, willingness to learn HazWOPER coursework, and the ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs, with a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend technical instructions.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform tank cleaning and oil spill cleanup.
• Handle drums and perform decontamination in hazardous environments.
• Respond to customer spills during and after hours.
• Operate equipment such as pumps, generators, air compressors, and light towers.
