Job summary

Courser is seeking a Field Technician to install, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites. This role requires hands-on tech skills, strong problem solving, and solid customer service to ensure reliable operation of installed systems.

Responsibilities include on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintaining detailed service records. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a field technician or similar role.
• Familiarity with equipment relevant to the industry (e.g., telecommunications, HVAC, electrical).
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and computer applications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test network and hardware equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment post-installation and provide initial training to users if necessary.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule installation and resolve access or setup issues.
• Diagnose technical issues in the field using diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
• Perform repairs and calibrations to prolong equipment life.
• Document issues, repairs, and solutions in service history records.
• Provide customers with maintenance recommendations and clear explanations of work performed.
