Job summary

SAM is seeking a SUE Field Specialist to support designation of utilities and mapping projects. You will lead 2-person crews, collect data, and apply geophysical equipment for 2D and 3D mapping across the region.

Qualifications include 1–2 years of SUE field experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel 80–90% of the year. Military experience is a plus; safety certifications must be maintained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• 1–2 years of SUE field experience preferred; knowledge of ASCE 38 is desirable.
• Able to lead small field crews and coordinate with internal survey teams.
• Willing to travel extensively (80–90% of the year) for project work.

Responsibilities

• Designate utilities in rural and urban environments using geophysical equipment and survey data.
• Lead 2-person designation teams and collect vault diagram data for mapping projects.
• Coordinate with field survey crews and implement traffic control plans when required.
• Travel for extended periods and participate in data collection for 2D/3D mapping.
