Job summary

Electric Power Systems, a NETA-accredited electrical testing and engineering firm, is seeking a Field Technician II. You will perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with increased independence, while upholding safety and quality.

You will troubleshoot from schematics, document work, and collaborate with engineers and senior technicians on field activities. Some travel may be required; a valid driver's license and ability to pass background and drug checks are

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.
• Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to read electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE in substations.
• Test high, medium, and low voltage gear with limited supervision.
• Inspect and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, grounding, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using schematics and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair work accurately.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians on field activities.
