Job summary

Buckeye Partners seeks a Technician II in Port Reading, NJ to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment, pipelines, and terminal facilities within the oil and gas operations. The role requires a technical associate degree and experience in pipeline or plant operations, plus PLC familiarity.

You will coordinate maintenance, work with contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to support reliable energy logistics.

Qualifications

  • Two‑year associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in pipeline, terminal or plant operations and maintenance.
  • Experience installing or troubleshooting PLCs (B&R, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and rack presets preferred.
  • Experience in measurement of liquids or gas preferred.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes normal driving time of the work location.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment, pipelines and terminal facilities.
  • Perform routine operations and maintenance at pump stations, terminals and pipeline sites.
  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and cost‑control maintenance projects.
  • Procure and manage outside contractors as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory manuals.
