Job summary

Buckeye Partners is seeking a Technician II for Port Reading, NJ to join our pipeline and terminal operations team. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment across pump stations, remote booster stations, pipelines, and delivery terminals.

The position requires an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, plus experience in pipeline/terminal operations and PLC troubleshooting. A valid driver’s license and proximity to the site are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate’s degree in a technical field (electrical, electronic, or mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in pipeline, terminal or plant operations and maintenance.
• Experience installing or troubleshooting PLCs (B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley) and rack presets preferred.
• Must reside within 45 minutes driving time of the work location.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance projects: troubleshoot and support pipeline and terminal facilities in the assigned area, including planning and scheduling.
• Compliance: perform preventive maintenance inspections and procedures per manuals and systems.
• Continuous education: maintain knowledge of new technology and equipment.
• Management: procure and manage outside contractors as required.
• Policy implementation: implement company policies and construction specs for new facilities or upgrades.
• Product training: train Operations personnel on new equipment or software.
• Documentation: maintain equipment records and document work performed.
