UES, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician II to perform advanced field and laboratory testing, inspections, and data documentation on projects across geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing domains. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and independent work in outdoor settings.

The candidate should have strong problem solving, be detail-oriented, and may mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with OSHA and client requirements. Overnight travel and early/late shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years field-based experience in materials testing or inspection.
• ACI Level 1 or ability to obtain within specified time.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Collect and transport samples to laboratories with proper labeling and integrity.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper operation per guidelines.
• Complete detailed test reports and submit to project managers promptly.
• Mentor junior technicians and support safety program adherence.
• Travel to job sites and adapt to variable schedules including overtime.
