Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with increased independence, while upholding safety and quality. You will troubleshoot, document activities, and collaborate with engineers and senior technicians in diverse facilities across North America.

Qualified candidates will have an electrical/electronic technology background (degree or military), NETA II certification, and willingness to travel and work

Qualifications

• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Able to work OT and travel out of town.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsabilités

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE usage in substation environments.
• Participate in safety training and meetings; identify hazards and contribute to mitigation.
• Support safety culture through hazard reporting and lessons learned.
• Test high/medium/low voltage equipment with minimal supervision.
• Inspect and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, battery systems, switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using schematics and manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance; repair and adjust components.
• Document testing and maintenance activities accurately.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
