Job summary

UES is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to support engineering, environmental services, materials testing, and inspections. You will conduct on-site inspections and collect samples to verify project compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction, engineering, or geology is a plus.
• 0–3 years of field-based outdoor experience preferred; construction/materials testing background a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to verify compliance with project specs and standards.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories for testing; maintain accurate records.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results and site conditions for project managers.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure safety protocols and PPE are followed on site.
• Communicate updates to dispatch, field supervisors, and project managers; meet project timelines.
