Job summary

Cross in Warner, OK is seeking a Field Technician Level I to install, maintain, and troubleshoot in-home telephone and broadband systems, both inside and outside customers' properties.

You will pull and terminate cables, test equipment, and work on copper and fiber networks while upholding our customer service standards and safety practices. This role requires a driver’s license, physical ability to climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and on-call availability; pole climbing training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid driver’s license is required.
• Pole climbing certifications or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test telephone and broadband systems within homes and businesses.
• Repair copper and fiber issues and perform installation prework.
• Pull, run, and terminate cables (Cat5, coaxial, twisted pair, optical fiber) in attics, crawlspaces, walls, and other areas.
• Troubleshoot broadband and telephone service issues using test equipment.
• Isolate and repair mainline copper/fiber issues and perform splicing as needed.
• Provide preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
• Conduct cable splicing and adhere to color codes for fiber and telephone cables.
• Subject to on-call; pole climbing training may be required.
• Safety-sensitive role with on-site physical demands.
