Job summary

All Points Broadband is seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to design, install, and repair fiber and wired/wireless networks at customer sites in Virginia. You will ensure high-quality connections from head-end to premises and support both residential and business customers.

The role requires climbing, lifting up to 75 lbs, and frequent travel to job sites. You will work with pre-connectorized jumpers, OTDR testing, and standard telecom equipment while upholding safety standards and delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of telecom network topology and customer connectivity.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install/repair fiber fed internet and voice services from central office to customer premises.
• Splice and test fiber optic cables in aerial, underground, and building environments.
• Explain products and services to customers and upsell appropriately.
• Assist Fiber Technician –1 with complex installations.
• Interface with customers and call center to resolve issues.
• May cross-train others.
