Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Field Technician I to provide on-site support across data centers and POPs. You will coordinate with network teams and local vendors for installation, repair, and maintenance activities, focusing on physical rack and stack deployments.

Travel is required; you will follow established procedures and work with minimal supervision to ensure high-quality telecommunications infrastructure. A background in data centers and telecom hardware is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent and 0–2 years’ related experience or training.
• Knowledge of data center and POP infrastructure and cabling.
• Experience with telecom hardware including DWDMs, routers and switches.
• Ability to work with vendors and field technicians with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in physical installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with network teams and local vendors for installations.
• Support site surveys for projects and equipment deployments.
• Maintain quality standards across data center locations and POPs.
• Coordinate site access and equipment staging; support LEC coordination.
