Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Field Technician II to support data centers and Points of Presence (POPs) across locations. You will coordinate with network teams and vendors for installation, repair, and maintenance, with a focus on rack-and-stack deployments and travel.

The role requires hands-on experience with telecom equipment, site surveys, and collaboration with construction vendors to ensure compliance with standards. This position travels regularly and supports multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2–5 years related experience or training.
• Knowledge of data center and POP infrastructure, including OSP/ISP, cabling and power systems.
• Experience with telecom equipment testing and splicing; knowledge of standards.
• Ability to work with local landlords, vendors and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards in all data center locations and POPs.
• Perform physical installation, repair, maintenance, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with LECs and technicians for timely installations and maintenance.
• Assist site access, equipment staging, and related tasks.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure MOPs and standards compliance.
