Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co Inc. is seeking a field service technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in the field and at customer sites. You will perform mechanical services on new and used equipment and maintain company vehicles, tools, and safety practices.

Responsibilities include following safety protocols, writing accurate service reports, communicating with customers, keeping a clean 5S-work area, and being available 24/7 with a company cell phone. CDL is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational diesel repair training.
• 3–5 years of mechanical experience with equipment, preferably Caterpillar.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical systems.
• CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Follows strict safety protocols; using proper PPE as required.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in the field.
• Completes all required reporting for service time, including service reports and time allocation, tracking parts charged and returned.
• Maintains customer satisfaction by understanding needs and deadlines and completing repairs safely and timely.
• Maintains company issued equipment and tools in good working order.
• Adheres to safety rules and maintains good housekeeping (5S).
• Keeps customers updated on job status and communicates delays or issues.
• Must carry a company cell phone and be available 24/7.
