Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a skilled service technician to diagnose and repair construction equipment, including Caterpillar machines. The role involves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and disassembly/assembly of components.

Candidates should have 2–5 years of heavy equipment experience, ability to read schematics, and MSHA certification or the ability to obtain it. Proficiency with laptops and MS Office is desired.

Qualifications

• Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience diagnosing equipment using laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machine systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines, and general machine performance.
• MSHA certification, or ability to obtain MSHA certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform repairs on Caterpillar equipment as directed.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs; preventive maintenance and machine upkeep.
• Disassemble and reassemble machine components to manufacturer specifications using hand and power tools.
• Load or unload equipment from vehicles; assist with parts orders as needed.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules; perform any other duties as assigned.
