Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a skilled heavy equipment technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar machines, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met on customer and company-owned equipment. You will use diagnostic laptops, gauges, and instruments to troubleshoot electronics, hydraulics, power trains, and engines, read manuals, order parts, and document repairs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years in troubleshooting heavy equipment; journeyman

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting heavy equipment and systems.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on Caterpillar equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
• Read manuals and work orders; order parts as needed.
• Load or unload equipment.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Any and all duties as assigned.
