Job summary

Fabick Cat in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar machines for customers and company-owned fleets. You will perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, using diagnostic laptops and gauges.

The role requires 2–5 years' experience, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read schematics and interpret manuals. MSHA certification or the ability to obtain it is preferred; welding skills and basic tool

Qualifications

• Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, Caterpillar preferred.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining organization.
• MSHA certification, or ability to obtain MSHA certification.
• Proficiency with basic tools and ability to read and interpret machine schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform designated repairs on Caterpillar equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general machine upkeep.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders; order parts as needed.
• Comply with OSHA safety rules.
• Load or unload equipment from customer-owned or common carrier vehicles.
