Job summary

Fabick Cat is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment at our Wisconsin locations. You will perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, with emphasis on field service and preventive maintenance.

Applicants should have 2–5 years’ experience with heavy equipment, be proficient with diagnostic laptops and gauges, and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two to five years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience diagnosing systems with laptop computers, gauges, and instruments.
• Journeyman status preferred.
• MSHA certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose repair needs and perform repairs on Caterpillar equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine service.
• Read manuals and order parts as needed.
