Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders on active jobsites. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge, document results the same day, and coordinate with field personnel.

No experience required to start; we train and sponsor essential certifications (ACI Field Grade I, nuclear gauge safety, NICET I/II) as you progress.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Detail-oriented and coachable; willingness to learn.
• We sponsor ACI Field Grade I certification and nuclear gauge safety certification.
• NICET Level I and II sponsorship available as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on-site.
