Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete on active construction sites. You will perform slump, air, temperature tests, and cylinder casting, while documenting results daily.

No experience required—training is provided and certifications are sponsored, including ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety. Responsibilities include sampling per ASTM methods, running density tests, and preparing clear reports.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in hot and varying weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• We sponsor ACI Field Grade I, nuclear gauge safety certification, and NICET Level I and II as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain gauge standardization and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment including the nuclear density gauge and cure boxes; ensure safety and radiation procedures.
• Travel to various sites, work outdoors, and support field testing across projects.
