Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run tests, and document results onsite. The role is outdoors, physical, and training is provided with certification sponsorship as you progress.

No prior experience required; we train and fund ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety certifications. You will travel to sites, report results the same day, and work with superintendents to defend the numbers.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and reliability are essential.
• Coachability and willingness to learn on site.
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
