Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete and perform slump, air, and temperature tests, while preparing cylinders for curing. You will verify soil compaction, document results, and learn on the job with paid training.

Entry level welcome; we provide structured field training and sponsor ACI Field Grade I, nuclear gauge safety, and NICET certifications as you progress. Outdoor work, travel to sites, and a focus on accuracy define this role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varied weather.
• Willingness to train and obtain certifications; employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM methods (C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31).
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
