Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge. We train and pay for your certifications, and entry level applicants are welcome.

Responsibilities include sampling and testing concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064 and C31; running field density tests per ASTM D6938; preparing clear daily field reports; maintaining gauge standardization and chain of custody;

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification preferred and sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density tests per ASTM D6938 and document results.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
