Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks Field Technicians to sample and test concrete and soils at active construction sites. You will perform slump, air, temperature tests and density checks, recording results the same day.

No experience required; we'll train you and sponsor ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certificates as you progress. Compensation is hourly with overtime and travel across our project sites.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat and varying weather.
• Company sponsors ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31 and document results.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
