Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians for on-site sampling and testing of concrete and soil-related tests across sites. You will collect samples, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders, reporting results the same day to superintendents.

No experience required initially; we provide training and sponsor certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety. This is a hands-on, outdoor role with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
