Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Traveling Engineer/Technician for on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. This role requires 100% travel and living in a hotel, with home time limited to 2 days per month.

The position is a 12+ month contract with $25-$30 per hour and a per diem of $444 per week while traveling. All hotel and travel arrangements are prepaid by the company.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and maintain service records.
• Coordinate activities with peers, supervisors and customers to minimize downtime.
• Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance.
• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed.

TRAVELING ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN

100% TRAVEL - will live in a hotel and be home 2 days per month

12+ month contract

$25-$30 per hour - Also 444$ per week in per diem when traveling

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
• Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering highly preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment preferably lithography

Military experience in the following MOS'

• Load Master

Job Description

Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems, maintains records and reports as required. Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions. Orders and installs parts, respond to emergency service calls as required. Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed. Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. CT experience huge plus.
