Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment in the Richardson, TX area. You will troubleshoot problems, install parts, train customer technicians, and coordinate with peers to minimize downtime; travel up to 80% and occasional upgrades may be required.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of maintenance or repair experience, with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and a degree in Electronics or Engineering.

Qualifications

• Must sit in DFW area with no relocation.
• Open to 80% travel as required.
• 2+ years of maintenance, troubleshooting or repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Associates or higher degree in electronics or engineering required.

Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems, maintains records and reports as required. Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions. Orders and installs parts, respond to emergency service calls as required. Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed. Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. CT experience huge plus.
