Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Field Technician for a direct hire, onsite in La Vergne, TN. You will troubleshoot end-user workstations, support Microsoft Office and proprietary apps, and perform basic network tasks such as DNS, Active Directory, and DHCP.

You’ll maintain hardware including printers, switches, and wireless access points, travel regionally every 4–6 weeks, and contribute to the RingCentral migration. A minimum of 3 years in IT support and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Field Technician/IT Support experience.
• Hands-on with ADAC, ADUC, and DHCP.
• Willingness to travel regionally every 4–6 weeks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and end-user support, hardware and peripherals, software installs, printer support, and imaging.
• Troubleshoot network connection issues.
• Support phone system migrations (Mitel to RingCentral).
• Escalate complex issues to Tier II and collaborate with advanced teams.
• Manage user login access across platforms and reset credentials.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, budgets, and disposal of decommissioned hardware.
• Conduct regular site visits for satellite desktop support and inventory control.
• Travel regionally to TN, KY, VA, GA, NC every 4–6 weeks.

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Field Technician for a direct hire position onsite in La Vergne, TN (Nashville, TN area). This role will be responsible for troubleshooting end-user workstations and endpoints, supporting Microsoft Office and proprietary applications, performing basic network administration (DNS, Active Directory, and DHCP), and maintaining hardware including printers, network switches, and wireless access points.

Pay Range: $58,000.00 to $60,000.00 per hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable within this range based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Plus benefits: medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.

Field Technician job responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive desktop and end-user technical support, including hardware and peripheral troubleshooting, software installation and maintenance, printer and driver support, and hardware imaging and deployment.
• Troubleshoot network connection issues
• Provide support for the phone system (RingCentral) and assist with the organization's upcoming migration from Mitel to RingCentral.
• Escalate complex technical issues to Tier II support and collaborate with advanced support teams to research, troubleshoot, and drive resolution.
• Manage user login access across company and third-party platforms, including security assignments, password resets, and resolution of user access issues.
• Manage IT asset inventory, assist with budget planning, oversee the recycling and disposal of decommissioned hardware, and conduct regular hardware inspections to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits to provide satellite desktop support, manage hardware deployments and decommissions, and maintain accurate inventory control across remote locations.
• Available to travel within region every 4 to 6 weeks from Nashville, TN home base to locations across TN, KY, VA, GA, and NC, with occasional overnight stays (1 to 2 nights per month).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of prior experience in a similar position (i.e. Field Technician, IT Support, Desktop Support).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory Administrative Center (ADAC), Active Directory User Control (ADUC), and Dynamic Host Protocol (DHCP).
• Ability to travel throughout Tennessee for site visits as needed and participate in rotational travel every 4 to 6 weeks to other territory locations across Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina.
• Experienced in supporting a wide range of technical needs, including hands-on hardware repairs such as laptop screen replacements and other end-user device maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
