Job summary

LAWRENCE TRACTOR COMPANY INC is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment and technology in field and shop settings. You will mentor Service Technician Trainees, participate in customer clinics, and ensure accurate documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and billable time, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience performing service repairs with metrics-driven performance.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in heavy equipment.
• Experience with John Deere equipment or similar machinery preferred.
• Ability to read Technical Manuals and follow procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge of diagnostic tools and service processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentor Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Support customer clinics and field service activities as required.
• Document diagnostics and repairs thoroughly on work orders and billable time.
• Submit information on time; maintain organization of service records.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment; keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs for skill development.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies in all tasks.
