Job summary

WECO, A Duravant Company in California is seeking a Technical Support Engineer who provides advanced technical support for installed equipment and serves as the primary escalation point for complex issues.

You will collaborate with Service, Engineering, and R&D to ensure successful product implementation, service readiness, and continuous improvement, including NPI support from a service perspective. Travel up to 50% is required, with Spanish language skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics/automation/mechanical/software or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting industrial or automated equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with PLC systems (TwinCAT or similar) preferred.
• Travel up to 50% and willingness to travel (Spain) for initial training.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and field service teams via phone, email, and case management systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, controls, and software knowledge.
• Serve as 3rd-level escalation point for unresolved field service issues.
• Coordinate resolution of customer issues with Service, Engineering, and R&D resources.
• Support field service teams with troubleshooting guidance and remote diagnostics.
• Conduct field visits as needed to support critical issues and gain equipment insight.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, service procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
