Job summary

SEAL Analytical Inc. in Mequon, WI is seeking a Technical Support Chemist to provide expert customer support, perform onsite instrument installations and trainings across the US with potential international travel.

You will troubleshoot via phone and email, assist in method development, test instruments and software, and contribute to efficient use of instrumentation. Travel up to 50% as needed, primarily within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or closely related field.
• Experience in water/wastewater laboratory preferred.
• Good analytical chemistry laboratory skills.
• Familiar with analyses such as BOD, COD, Metals, Colorimetric Inorganic nutrient analysis.
• Experience with discrete, flow analyzers (FIA, SFA) and/or BOD robotics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time (overnight travel, up to 3-4 nights per week).

Responsibilities

• On-site & virtual installations and trainings at laboratories around the US.
• Telephone and email troubleshooting for customers.
• Assist in development of analytical methods.
• Instrument and software testing.
• Create procedures for efficient use of instrumentation.
• Special projects related to customer needs.
• Advise customers on instrumentation and methods.
• Attend conferences and demonstrations as required.
