Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Field Service Technician in Baton Rouge to install, service, and troubleshoot printers and related hardware on site for customers. You will handle hardware issues on print devices, support personal systems, and maintain strong customer relationships through on-site service.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience and a high school diploma. Salary ranges from $52,000 to $56,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

• Experience and ability to troubleshoot various hardware problems logically and systemically on print devices (DesignJet, A3, LaserJet) and is a REQUIRED skillset
• Strong candidates will also have skills in Personal Systems (Laptop, Desktop, POS, Workstation)
• May also involve third party software
• Onsite customer facing experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude, working with tools and various alignment apparatus
• Alignment with customer’s business needs while maintaining HP’s contractual commitments
• Able to balance and prioritize multiple activities and issues
• Successful cause and effect understanding of financial perspectives on the business
• Strong interpersonal verbal/written skills, especially in person while on a customer site. This is critical to relationship building and customer satisfaction
• Attention to detail and commitment to administrative responsibilities
• Exercise solid business-based decision-making skills, taking appropriate risks to ensure that both client and the customer’s business need are met
• Independent thinking while adhering to standard technological, mechanical, and business procedures
• Industry and product knowledge that provides solid technology solutions and options to the customer
• Ability to evaluate a technical situation while managing the operational challenges quickly and accurately
• Working independently and able to re-prioritize tasks/events/commitments quickly based on contract, customer, and business situation.

Education & Experience Recommended

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-5 years of related work experience, preferably in maintenance, quality, or a related field.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is between $ 52,000- $ 56,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
