Job summary

First Student is seeking a Training Specialist to design, develop, and deploy technical training aligned with the organization’s mission and needs. You will deliver in-person and remote sessions, collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts, and oversee logistics and scheduling to ensure successful learning outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, presentation skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

2+ years in logistics/operations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytic and computer skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint).
Displays leadership and ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement a variety of training programs (classroom, e-learning, blended).
Deliver training in person and remotely; provide SME support for web content delivery.
Collaborate with leadership and SMEs on training materials.
Provide customer service to internal and external sources at all levels.
Support the division's vision and mission and meet performance targets.
Lead driver training sessions and support drivers in yard and ride-alongs (onsite).
Train location staff and drivers remotely via Teams on new technology.
Schedule and organize logistics of training sessions.
Effectively manage time, resources, and processes; assist teammates as needed.
Travel up to 25%.
