Job summary

Midco is hiring a Field Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot services for residential and business customers. You will handle installations, disconnections, and on-site tech support, ensuring optimal performance and value for customers.

No experience needed—paid training and advancement opportunities are available, with a company vehicle provided. The role requires a valid driver’s license and completion of Midco FTR certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; DUI within past five years disqualifies.
• Complete Midco First Time Right (FTR) certification within 90 days of hire and apply it in all work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluations of commercial properties for service feasibility.
• Install voice, video, and data services and manage changes/disconnections in homes and businesses.
• Troubleshoot and repair services from tap to CPE; maintain signal quality on TVs.
• Coordinate between Field Operations and Business Services to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on Midco services and upsell when appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance on network extensions and bury drop requirements.
• Log all work orders, surveys, and referrals for traceability.
• Mentor teammates and cross-train on services to meet demand.
• Maintain a clean worksite and perform on-call duties as required.
• Operate company vehicle safely and adhere to Midco policies and safety rules.
