NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development seeks a Construction Project Manager for the Emergency Repair Program. You will supervise and coordinate emergency repairs, ensure compliance with plans and regulations, and manage contractor performance across five boroughs.

Under direct supervision, you will prepare scopes, estimates, and reports, and ensure permits are secured prior to work. Evening and weekend work is required; a valid NY driver license is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years full-time construction project management/inspection experience
• 1 year experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/construction management
• 1 year experience with a professional license (PE/Architect/LA)
• Combination of education and experience to total 5 years may be substituted

Responsabilités

• Inspect, direct and monitor emergency repairs or compliance per plans
• Ensure abatement methods and safety compliance
• Monitor contract performance and resolve issues
• Prepare field reports, scopes of work, cost estimates
• Review contractor requisitions for payment and change orders
• Ensure permits are obtained before projects start
• Perform scoping per agency guidelines
• Enter data into HPDInfo per guidelines
• Work evenings and weekends as required

Formation

Four-year high school diploma + 5 years construction management experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture/construction management + 1 year experience

Professional engineer / architect / landscape architect license + 1 year experience
