Job summary

Outsource Consultants seeks a Technical Project Manager to be the main contact for long-term projects with NYC DOB, DOT, and the Landmarks Preservation Commission. You will oversee projects from kickoff to completion, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to keep timelines and approvals on track.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred, but not required; familiarity with NB/Alt-1 approvals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service.
• Knowledge of NYC Construction Codes and approvals processes.
• 5+ years of expediting experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and provide clear, consistent project updates.
• Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring timelines, filings, and approvals stay on track.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, property owners, and internal teams.
• Prepare, submit, and track DOB applications and permits (including NB and Alt-1).
• Review plans for compliance with NYC Construction Codes and Zoning requirements.
• Schedule and attend meetings with clients and city agencies as needed.
• Resolve objections or disapprovals by coordinating corrections and responses with project stakeholders.
• Maintain organized project records, documentation logs, and status trackers.
• Issue change orders and ensure project scope aligns with the approved proposal.
• Deliver excellent customer service and proactively address delays, risks, and client concerns.
