Job summary

City of New York is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead field operations for HUD Lead Grant and Healthy Homes programs. The role involves inspecting emergency repairs, lead abatement and related environmental health work across NYC properties.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience with construction trades, and can coordinate with multiple divisions. Evening and weekend scheduling may be required, with a valid NY driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in heating, plumbing, electrical and general construction.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, directing and monitoring HUD Lead Grant, Healthy Homes Grant and emergency repairs for compliance.
• Ensure abatement methods and equipment comply with laws and regulations.
• Monitor contract performance; identify problems and seek resolutions.
• Prepare field reports, scopes of work and cost estimates for healthy homes, emergency repair and lead abatement projects.
