Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is offering a System Integrator Intern – I – Critical Infrastructure for Summer 2027 in Atlanta. You will assist with BAS/EPMS/PLC/SCADA deployments, learn at the intersection of controls hardware and software, and work alongside experienced engineers on mission-critical projects.

This hands-on internship emphasizes field startup, testing, documentation, and IST activities, with opportunities to gain vendor training and professional growth in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed technical education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Interest in controls, automation, commissioning, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, startup, testing, commissioning of BAS/EPMS/PLC/SCADA systems on mission-critical projects.
• Work alongside System Integrators, Controls Engineers, and SCADA Engineers to learn hardware, networking, and software interactions.
• Document field observations, issues, and corrective actions; support IST activities.
• Gain exposure to Ignition SCADA deployment and industrial networking fundamentals.
