Job summary

Innovative-Engineering- is hiring a Survey Technician to support field survey operations, construction staking, and data collection for diverse projects in Indiana. You will work under the Party Chief to ensure accuracy and safety on-site.

The role requires experience with GPS and robotic total stations, reading plans, and performing staking duties. A strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in surveying or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years land surveying or construction staking experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and stakeout information.
• Experience with GPS and robotic total station equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Party Chief with construction staking for site development, roadways, utilities, and buildings.
• Operate survey equipment and collect field data for various surveys.
• Maintain field notes and staking records; establish survey control.
• Perform equipment maintenance and daily inspections of survey gear.
• Follow safety policies and work around active construction sites.
