Job summary

Innovative Engineering & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician in Whitestown, Indiana, to assist the Party Chief with land surveying and construction staking for residential, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure projects.

You will operate GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors in a safety-conscious field role. You will collect field data, set control points, and support staking and surveying activities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Basic surveying principles and field safety.
• Ability to read engineering plans and stakeout information.
• Experience with GPS and robotic total station equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction staking for site development, roadways, utilities, and buildings.
• Operate survey equipment (GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors).
• Collect field data, establish control, and prepare field notes.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles, ensure daily inspections.
• Follow safety policies and participate in training.
