Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking a Survey Technician to assist with field surveys, laser scanning, and construction staking, under the supervision of a professional land surveyor.

Positions require up to 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial plant environment, strong measurement reading, and familiarity with field instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and laser scanners. The role involves travel and collaboration with the survey and design teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial plant environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple measurements.
• Ability to learn the use of field instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Familiarity with laser scanning software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field surveys, laser scanning, and construction staking under a professional land surveyor.
• Operate field equipment and measure angles, distances, and other information per regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with survey and design teams to meet scope and deliverables.
• Assist in developing action plans and ensure safety and required accuracy.
• Maintain flexibility to meet project schedules and assist in related field tasks.
